Sat/Sun - Went to the cabin in Idaho... Bailey would not stop swimming in the lake - Kelty kept wanting to swim, but had to get a little push off the dock to get in - Tyrell caught lots of fish - Jami (my PA school friend) and I just slept the days away on the dock. Great time!
Monday - Started working with the Hospitalist/Family Medicine Inpatient Team at Madigan. Admitted a 29 yo male with O2 saturation of 77% when walking around on room air. Work 13 hours & come home pooped.
Tuesday - Show up at 5:45am to check on my patient & get more patients assigned to me... Looks like my 29yo has Pneumonia and a positive rapid flu test.
Wednesday - Work, Work, Work. Jami & Nikki come over for dinner.
Thursday - Finally get the culture results back on my 29yo male. Turns out to be "Pig Flu"... H1N1... Swine Flu... Whatever you want to call it:) Confirmed case #2 in the hospital.
Friday - Hospitalist team was down 2 Docs, worked our butts off to get 8/13 people home, including now non-contagious MR. Swine Flu. Admit 4 new patients. Still think we might get out of work early... but end up getting MR. Small Bowel Obstruction at the last hour of our shift. Craziness.
