Out and About

After a long, hard, 3rd week in paradise, we decided to go out for a few drinks and live music. We headed to the Mai Tai Bar. It is an open-air restaurant in the middle of the mall.

Good food, Great friends and a wonderful time!

Saturday was spent relaxing on the beach and enjoying the sun and sand!

On Sunday, we traveled to the famous Swap Meet with friends Jami, Kamaka and Marissa.

It is located at the Aloha Stadium (aka - where the Probowl is often held). Tyrell was so excited to see the stadium!

Vendors line the paved loop all the way around the stadium. From jewelry to swim wear to dashboard hula dolls - they have it all!

Jami bought a fresh coconut. They make an opening in the top so you can drink the milk and then open the coconut with a big machete so you can eat the meat. A bit slimy, but good.

We finished the stadium loop and found some great deals - but we weren't quite done bargain hunting yet. So, we went to Savers (aka Hawaiian G-Dub "Goodwill").

They had 4 Rows of Hawaiian shirts!!! More than we had ever seen at one time!

Marissa wanted to buy a Muumuu, so Jami & I helped her pick one out.

Our condo unit has a great outdoor grilling area near the pool. So we finished the night with a poolside BBQ

Kamaka played us a Hawaiian tune while our dinner was cooking.

Teriyaki Pineapple Chicken, Garlic Bread, Salad and Ochango-Coconut Rum drinks. YUM!
